Tyron Woodley Offers Big Money to Nick Diaz and Georges St-Pierre for a Mega Fight

Former UFC champion Tyron Woodley says he offered legends Nick Diaz and Georges St-Pierre big money to scrap.

Woodley still isn't finished fighting yet, and has said that 2024 will see him return to MMA or even boxing. He hasn't fought in any combat sport since losing to Jake Paul by knockout last December.

Even amidst the uncertainty surrounding his fighting career, Woodley is still eager to battle top names in either ring or cage. Far removed in age and maturity, he could rumble some still on the competition circuit, especially if he goes back to MMA.

Woodley says he almost came back against two of the biggest fan favorites in UFC history: Diaz and St-Pierre.

Recently, Woodley told TMZ Sports that he was planning on offering large sums to Diaz and St-Pierre for a fight with him.

Woodley: I want to fight guys who are legendary to me. I offered Georges St-Pierre a dumb bag, he said no. 'And I'm no longer in that world. I gave Nick Diaz a stupid bag. I call it a dump bag--ushering in eight figures, What's that? A lot of money.

They both said no! People whom I thought were my GOATs. Now that the money is coming to the sport, when it's time for me to get paid It's going with them too. It's a partnership. Whether I like Jake [Paul] or not, for two fights we went into business together. It's a business, not choreographed.

At UFC 266, Diaz returned to the Octagon following a long layoff. He was defeated by Robbie Lawler via TKO. He hasn't fought since, but he hinted at his desire to make another UFC comeback in 2024.

St-Pierre has returned to retirement after winning the UFC middleweight title over Michael Bisping at UFC 217. He is also a UFC Hall of Famer and one the only two-division champions in UFC history.

Also, Woodley has gone on to be a fine analyst for the PFL. But he still wants at least one more fight before hanging up his gloves forever. If he's telling the truth about challenging Diaz and St-Pierre to boxing matches, it seems unlikely that his next bout will be against another star.
